Vote For Dewey
In early September of 2012 a small sickly Westie puppy was rescued from a horrible puppy mill situation by Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue in Tennessee. The first image posted showed a sad eyed puppy who weighed a fraction of what he should weigh. He was evaluated by the vet and discovered to suffer from Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) and the only way he could survive was by undergoing surgery to repair the defect. Within hours the funds were raised through Facebook to provide the costly surgery. I was drawn to that image and felt an immediate connection. I already owned two Westies, or should I say being already owned by two, I knew I had to help. I applied to adopt him and much to my surprise I was chosen to be his furever mommy. Through Facebook and his page Dewey is a puppy mill survivor with a mission to help stamp out the bad places.
