Buddy was an owner surrender to the Humane Society’s Campus for Compassion. He was very, VERY tiny when we met him. So small, in fact, that his new dad was afraid to hold him when we were getting to know him at the shelter. After about 10 mins of playing with us, Buddy walked over to his new dad's shoe, laid on it and went to sleep. That's how we knew Buddy had to come home with us. He picked us. After we got him home we took him to the vet and found out he had the worst case of worms she had ever seen. After a two months and 3 rounds of treatment for the worms, he was finally worm-free and ready to grow! The 1st month he gained 8lbs and hasn't stopped growing since. He’s now 44lbs of love and counting! Buddy loves to walk to the park with his best friends Lucy, Ranger and Devo. They play every morning together and we think they bonded the fastest because of their shared shelter experiences. That’s just a guess tho – as Buddy can’t say it any other way than kisses & wags.
