Brownie Hiller, Lawrenceville

Vote For Brownie Hiller
Brownie was found abandoned in a box with her sister on a busy road. At the time she was only a couple of weeks old. The shelter took both pups in, and Brownie was adopted at age six weeks. A few days later, her adopters returned her to the shelter after their veterinarian proclaimed she'd grow to a "big dog." Two weeks later she was adopted by our family as a very special surprise for our daughter's tenth birthday. Brownie is now five years old and works as a therapy dog! She is a reading therapy dog at a local elementary school; she visits students with special needs at a local middle and high school; she also makes regular visits to a nearby nursing home. Brownie loves to run in the woods and wrestle with her sister, Betsy, another rescue/therapy dog.
