Scout is a pit bull with a big story and an even bigger heart. She was brought to our city shelter at 5 weeks, no mom or siblings in sight, infested with fleas and only three and a half legs. She was brought into a foster home by a local rescue and fast forward a month, she's now living in her forever home! We believe she was dropped off at the shelter because of her deformity and the fact that she probably couldn't be sold. Were thrilled she was brought to a safe place and her owners didn't want her because she's a complete joy. She doesn't let her bum leg stop her one bit. Her favorite pastime is making new friends and spreading awareness about special needs dogs. She's an ambassador of her breed and shows people rescue dogs aren't "damaged goods". My hope for Scout is that she will someday grow to be a therapy dog. She's an amazing addition to our family!
