My husband and I were considering starting a family in 2004 but we wanted our first "baby" to be one that we rescued. We visited the shelter together once but were afraid of making the commitment so he left empty handed. I returned by myself one day and there was Simpson! I called my husband and told him that I was not leaving without this precious puppy!! He has been our baby for almost 11 years now and is the best friend of our two young sons.
