We adopted snipe in July. He was 6 months old and had been in the shelter for several months. He came to the shelter because his owner went to jail. When they got him his back leg was broken. He had spent 30 days at the pound because the original owner said he wanted him back. By the time he came to the shelter his leg had healed on it's own mostly. They isolated him and kept him resting and he quit using the leg. He nearly lost function of it. Finally they let him out to play with the other dogs and he started using it almost instantly. He still has a slight limp but is the sweetest, most living puppy we've ever adopted. He lives with his four adopted puppy siblings, the adopted cats, and two horses, one also a rescue with bad legs named trigger.
