I had been looking to adopt a dog for a few months with no luck when I went to AH to donate some old bedding and towels. While I was talking to the volunteer at the front desk I mentioned that I had been looking for a dog and could I meet any that day. With that, a friendly little Pom came in from a walk. He was wearing a sad "adopt me" vest but it didn't stop him from coming right up to me and asking for attention. BOOM! We were in love and I filled out the application on the spot. Lucky and I have been together ever since and he brings smiles to everyone he meets on our walks around NYC.
