My husband and I were on the hunt for our first dog together. We knew there would be no question that it would come from our local Humane Society. For a couple weeks we were checking their website to see what precious pup was perfect for us… then BAM! Right when his picture popped up when knew he was the one. We jumped in the car and headed to see him ASAP. My husband Ryan, taught him to sit within the first 3 minutes of playing with him in the meeting room. Our hearts melted with joy as we just knew Reese was the perfect fit for us. We learned that there were overpopulated shelters in Louisiana, so some of the dogs got shipped to our local humane society, Reese being one of them. We learned he’s an Australian Kelpie/Shepard mix. To this day, we always encourage friends or family looking for a dog to check out local humane society’s first! Reese now has a (human) baby brother on the way… and we just know he will be the BEST big brother!
