Caine was rescued from a high kill shelter along with his four brothers by Savin'em All Animal Rescue last year. I was searching for my new best friend on petfinder.com when I came across his adorable face. I put in an adoption application and was approved. Caine was transported to New England the next weekend where he, his brothers, and several other rescue pups were adopted. Caine instantly became my best friend. He is the most lovable dog in the world. He loves to give high fives and kisses, and he adores to play fetch (even though sometimes he doesn't like to let go of the ball). I was in my first year of law school when I adopted Caine, and I was struggling with anxiety and depression. I can honestly say that he saved my life. He has gotten me through so much this past year, from heartbreak to loss, and I am so thankful that rescue organizations exist. Despite the many miles between Caine and I during the first couple of months of his life, fate brought us together.
